Our view: Community support needed for Cabot to succeed

The revival of Beverly’s historic Cabot Cinema as the Cabot Performing Arts Center is another piece of good news in a long string of successes for the city’s downtown area. A revitalized Cabot can play a key role in the economic health of the city and in the continued cultural growth of the region. And if the nonprofit collaborative behind the new Cabot succeeds, the venture can serve as a blueprint for similar initiatives across the North Shore.
