Hours into its first day of offering phone charging, snacks and water, Rooftop Cinema Club saw over 20 cars in line to get relief.

On Feb. 17, the rooftop-turned-drive-in theater company began using its existing generators to help charge phones for up to 45 minutes and giving out free popcorn and other snacks in addition to hot drinks. It’s also been giving out bags of string lights and playing cards and inviting food trucks to sell on its premise at 2315 Navigation Blvd. Thus far, movies have been canceled through at least Feb. 19, and the relief station is open from noon to 6 p.m., according to a Facebook post.
