Passionate volunteers are hoping to transform a hidden green space in Lozells into something residents can be “truly proud of”.George’s Park, next to Wills Street, has long been a breeding ground for anti-social behaviour.
But ‘Friends of George’s Park’, a group of like-minded volunteers, are hoping to unlock the area by holding exciting events and, in turn, boost people’s aspirations.
One idea is to introduce an an open-air cinema night where people can enjoy top flicks while spread out across the green.
