More2Screen to distribute world’s first 3D Nutcracker Ballet In association with Sony Digital Cinema

Sony Digital Cinema announces today that it will be supporting its partner More2Screen for the distribution of the Mariinsky Theatre’s The Nutcracker In 3D – the world’s first 3D Nutcracker ballet –to digital cinemas worldwide (ex–Japan) from 13 November 2012. Filmed at the historic Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, this is a sumptuously traditional production from EuroArts Music and the Mariinsky Theatre brought to life on the big screen in stunning 3D.

 

This partnership is yet another clear indication that Sony Digital Cinema is focused on bringing new and compelling alternative content to cinema exhibitors and their audiences.
